Buying Used Suzuki Car - About Suzuki Car And SUVs

Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) is a Japanese manufacturing company producing a range of automobiles, a full range of motorcycles, outboard motors, and a variety of other small combustion-powered engine products. SMC has 15 automotive manufacturing plants in 14 countries and 133 distributors in 119 countries. In 1953, Suzuki scored the first of many racing victories when the tiny 60cc "Diamond Free" won its class in the Mount Fuji Hill Climb. Worldwide Suzuki production reached more than 975,000 cars in 1995. In 1996, American Suzuki released the X-90 to replace the Suzuki - Samurai.

American Suzuki introduced the Swift and a new small Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) called the Sidekick. The Swift and Sidekick were cousins to GM's Geo Metro and Geo Tracker and were mostly created in Ingersoll, Canada by Suzuki and GM's joint venture, CAMI. After the year, 2001, the Swift had left the Suzuki lineup. The Esteem too left, to be replaced with the Aerio for 2002. Suzuki was down from two SUVs to one. In 2004, General Motors and Suzuki Motor Corp in Japan purchased the Bankrupt Daewoo renaming the project GMDAT. Suzuki then remodeled two of the Daewoo cars with the Suzuki name: the compact Forenza and the mid-size Verona. The Forenza gained wagon and hatchback body styles for 2005 model, with the hatchback sold under the Reno name. Suzuki also introduced a redesigned Grand Vitara as a new model for the current year.

Tips for Buying Used Suzuki Car

If you decide to take the car on a test drive, make sure to try everything out, including the radio, a/c and power features (windows, locks, mirrors, etc) if so equipped. Drive the vehicle on different roads and go to an empty parking lot to test the brakes and handing.

Stay away from older cars, which have a lot of electronic gizmos. They are often costly to repair and are not as reliable as vehicles that are more basic.

Although a lower mileage vehicle is great, a vehicle with a lot of highway miles is better. Highway driving is very easy on the car whereas stop and go driving is much harder. The condition of the car is more vital than the mileage so long as the car was properly maintained.

Stay away from cabs, ex police cars or rentals. These vehicles are usually driven very hard and sometimes not as well maintained. They are cheap, but risky to buy but you can find used Suzuki Cars at http://www.usedcarx.com with all the necessary details.
